There was sun, warmth, cactus-covered hillsides, and that incredible blue stretching out toward the horizon. When I returned to the image on a much larger scale, the colors became brighter and more exaggerated, especially the sea.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis painting developed slowly over time, with layers added, changed, and returned to again.
