Emerge: A Portrait of Resilience

After shattering my elbow and enduring two years of rehabilitation, I started to understand the finite nature of time and life. Determined to paint again after experiencing six months of nerve palsy in my dominant hand, I chose oil painting, my comfort and focused on house plants, symbols of life and growth that fill my home with color.

The first installment of this collection developed over three weeks and captures the interplay of light and leaves, reflecting my journey of recovery. Each brushstroke conveys hope and renewal, portraying the resilience and beauty found in adversity. Through these paintings, I aim to inspire viewers to see the enduring strength within themselves and the possibility of growth and flourishing, even in challenging times.
