My paintings are about moments of presence. I explore this through places I’ve traveled, the lines and color of plants, and the expressive gesture of the human figure.

Each work begins with observation and develops through color and intuition.

New from the Studio

Inspired by a hilltop town in northern Sicily, this large painting grew slowly from a small gouache study and a memory I kept returning to. The colors became brighter and more exaggerated as I worked, trying to hold onto that feeling of sun, sea, and standing on top of the world.
