Pulse: Color Meditations
This series of landscapes began at a very pivotal point in my life.
I knew that I loved color and I was still exploring what I wanted to say through my art, so I began by playing with paint. What developed was a back and forth, up and down, meditative act of moving color around on my canvas.
This is where my abstract landscapes developed from. It also came from a place of needing space. I was a new mom and the time that I now had to create was limited. I was exploding with emotions and ideas and wanting to still be attached in some way to what I loved. Pulse became my heartbeat. I could jump in and out of them in a way that I needed at that moment.
I want you to feel that explosive and sometimes calming pulse of your heartbeat when you look at these.
