Leaves and Light

Plants have always been part of the spaces I live and work in. Over time, I've been drawn to how they affect the atmosphere of a room...like the way light moves across a leaf or the way that they playfully vibrate warmth.

These paintings grew out of that fascination.

Rather than studying plants as botanical subjects, I’m drawn to the feeling they create. The curves of a leaf, the shifting patterns of shadow and light, and the way color seems to come alive when greens interact with blues, yellows, and pinks.

In the studio, these observations become an exploration of color and form. Each painting is a small moment of stillness. An attempt to capture their quiet vitality.
