North Sicily

North Sicily captures a hillside looking out toward the brilliant blue of the Mediterranean, with layers of cactus and soft green vegetation filling the foreground.

I was drawn to the contrast between the dry, tangled landscape and that enormous stretch of blue beyond it. It holds the warmth and openness I remember from arriving in Sicily, that feeling of suddenly being surrounded by sun, color, and sea.
