Sicily Hilltop

Places and Passages

Places and Passages is a collection of paintings inspired by the moments that stay with us long after a journey ends. More than recording a destination, these works explore memory, wonder, and the quiet ways a place can continue to shape us. Each painting is an invitation to pause, remember, and reconnect with the feeling of having been there.

Sicily Hilltop

Sicily Hilltop looks through a tangle of prickly pear cactus toward the bright blue Mediterranean beyond them.

I was drawn to the wildness of the hillside against that almost impossible blue. It captures the warmth and exhilaration I felt being back in Sicily, surrounded by sun, sea, and a landscape that felt both familiar and new.
