Between Thoughts - Original Painting

This piece came from a gesture drawing I made nearly 20 years ago, one I’ve never quite let go of.

There was something in the posture that stayed with me. A quiet inwardness and a sense of holding.

Working with a warmer palette than I usually use, I leaned into soft coral tones and let the color carry the emotions. The figure feels both at rest and in tension…like a moment of turning inward.
