Seen and Unseen
Seen and Unseen is a collection of figurative paintings and drawings exploring gesture, identity, and the space between what we show and what we hold quietly within ourselves. These figures are less about capturing a particular person and more about the feeling of being human: thoughtful, uncertain, guarded, open, and still becoming.
Unfolding
Unfolding is a standing figure drawn in charcoal and softened with layers of pale pink, blue, and muted green.
There is an openness in the pose, but also a sense of hesitation. I was interested in that in-between moment, when we begin to take up a little more space while still holding part of ourselves close.
