Venice Canal

Venice Canal was originally painted as a 6 × 6 inch gouache study, inspired by my water taxi ride on the main canal after arriving at night. 

This painting remembers the feelings after arrival of joy and awe of being back in this magical world of water, boats and beautiful old buildings.
