Places and Passages is a collection of paintings inspired by the moments that stay with us long after a journey ends. More than recording a destination, these works explore memory, wonder, and the quiet ways a place can continue to shape us. Each painting is an invitation to pause, remember, and reconnect with the feeling of having been there.

Gondola

Gondola was originally painted as a 6 × 6 inch gouache study, inspired by my first gondola ride. 

This was my second trip to Venice and I didn't want to miss the chance to try out this unique experience with my family, so we went for it. This painting captured feelings of awe and a calm sense that everything would be all right as we leisurely rode around in the canals of Venice.
