Venice Skyline 2

Venice Skyline 2 was originally painted as a 6 × 6 inch gouache study, inspired by time spent wandering the narrow streets of Venice.

Rather than capturing a landmark, this painting remembers the feeling of looking upward, where centuries-old buildings suddenly open to brilliant blue sky. It's a small moment that stayed with me long after returning home.
