Venice Waterway

Venice Waterway was originally painted as a 6 × 6 inch gouache study, inspired by time spent wandering the narrow streets of Venice.

This painting remembers the feeling of being surrounded by water at every turn. Where buildings awkwardly seemed to float by. I loved the close quarters and the reliance on the waterways that is a normal part of daily life for the locals.
